A Note From Amy
This year I aim to be all about quality, not quantity which isn’t easy the way our industry is put together but it’s important for sustaining the planet and stopping climate change but also for all of us here at MoP headquarters too where the team are as committed as I am.
We began our journey a long time ago but we only told you about it at the end of 2018. All I have learnt and discovered has already been applied to many collections that we have developed or are developing, unfortunately, it’s a long old process so you don’t get to see the results as fast as I’ve made them! And I am always desperate to show the new innovations and designs and share what’s upcoming but of course, alas, I have to wait until you can actually buy it too.
For those of you that don’t know much about Mother of Pearl, or me I’ve actually been here at the brand working away in the background for 13 years, starting as a graduate cutting fabric up and making tea until finally creative director 9 years later!
My passion has and will always be rooted in best practices to create a more sustained world, the way I see it, is what could be a more important conversation right now than the future of our entire home and all that live on it? We all have that in common and never before have we all needed to stand together.

With that said, we also need to be clothed, and my other passion lies in creativity and design. As a child my main memories are creating with my mother whom is a talented drawer or making games in the fields from nothing with my family and my best friend at primary school made a business for herself selling my drawings of ‘forever friend’s’ cartoon teddies, I didn’t get a financial cut but I didn’t care, people wanted my work and that made me feel great!
