BBC Earth x Mother of Pearl

 London fashion week was the beginning of our collaboration with BBC Earth, with the launch of our film alongside a series of talks on topics focused around re-embracing circularity and what that means, the importance of sustainability in fashion and the fashion industry re-designed.

We launched the film with a screening during fashion week which was attended by so many inspirational supporters, including Adwoa Aboah and Dame Anna Wintor, setting the scene for the enormous support we have received ever since.

Our aim with the project was to replicate what Blue Planet II did for sharing the sad truths of the state of plastic in our oceans and the impact it is having on the natural world. This information has spread like wildfire and we are all beginning to change our ways, globally, thanks to our all-time hero David Attenborough.

The launch of our film with BBC Earth has seen some incredible results too. So much of this has been because of the growing and continued support we have from you. For us its earth day every day, but today we thought we would share some of the incredible achievements we have made some far in 2019.

The film has been seen by over half a million people

  • In the buildup and throughout London Fashion Week, the search for ‘sustainable fashion’ spiked across the UK, increasing by 400%

  • During London Fashion Week, just under 1million people saw our campaign

These figures have shown us just how much support there is for our movement which drives us on and we feel so proud to have been given the opportunity to spread our message. We hope to continue this journey with you we would love you to spread the message even further, share the film and your knowledge and let’s continue this movement together.
